EMS 112 - Emergency Medical Technician-Basic I

Lecture: 3 hours Laboratory: 2 hours Total: 5 hours per week

Prepares student for certification as a Virginia and/or National Registry EMT-Basic. Focuses on all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Virginia office of Emergency Medical Services curriculum for Emergency Medicine Technician Basic.

An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course. The price is discounted 50% to $25.00 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year only.

(Course fees do not apply to dual enrollment CTE courses taught at local high schools).
