Length: 4 Semesters 

Purpose 

This two-year degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in a health sciences program. This degree is designed for health careers like nursing, dental hygiene, exercise science, or radiation science. It is not intended for students who are interested in attending medical or dental school.  

Admission Requirements 

General college admission requirements are required. Students whose placement by the direct enrollment and self-placement survey or other measures indicates a need for further preparation will be placed in the appropriate developmental or corequisite support courses in English and mathematics. Students required to take two or more developmental or corequisite support courses may need additional semesters to complete.  

Program Requirement 

This curriculum should provide the most complete foundation for the pursuit of the BS. Consult with an advisor at your desired four-year institution to verify.

3 Only UCGS math courses fulfill this requirement.  It is recommended that students take the quantitative/statistics track: MTH 154   or MTH 161  then MTH 245 . Students should consult with their academic advisor to select appropriate math courses, especially students in a science track.
